THE WOODLANDS, TX – The warming trend of recent weeks continues. We’re at a full week of high temperatures hitting at least 80 degrees. Fortunately, high humidity, cloud coverage, and gusty winds will keep it from becoming too summer-like unbearable.

All week long, our highs will be in the 80s

This morning’s dense fog finally dissipated but the heavy cloud content still made things grey and gloomy. Our afternoon high of 82 will soon enough dip down through the 70s and settle for an overnight low of 66.

Tuesday will bring 100 -percent humidity to go with its higher temps that will reach all the way up to 85. Fortunately, rising winds will help keep things from getting out of hand. The grey will brighten considerably as the clouds wander away in the afternoon. It’ll be another night in the 60s, so if you feel comfortable sleeping with your windows open, now’s your opportunity.

Wednesday will see a return of both clouds and winds, so that the second day in a row of 85 won’t melt you. Even though we’ll get back down into the 60s, it won’t happen until sunrise the next morning, so you may want to dust off the air conditioner or at least kick on the ceiling fans for nighttime comfort.

On Thursday, it will be the warmest yet, as our high creeps upward to 87. There will also be fewer clouds, especially later in the day, so add sunscreen to your regimen if you plan to be outdoors for any length of time. Fortunately, once mid-afternoon hits, the temps will start dropping and won’t hit these levels again for at least a couple of days.

Overnight Thursday into Friday, the temperature will continue to plummet as a stormy cold front moves in, bringing with it lots of rain and winds. Friday will feature scattered thunderstorms all day, and our high will only hit the mid 70s. The cooler and wetter weather will stick around for at least a day or so. But next week just might turn out to be perfect Spring Break weather…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
