THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Highlanders hosted the Oak Ridge War Eagles in the district opener on Tuesday night at Scotland Yard.
It was a pitching battle as Oak Ridge and The Woodlands would only allow a couple of hits through the innings. Unfortunately, none of the hits would result in anyone crossing the plate for a run. Until Brayden Sharp, who hit a home run in the third inning to give The Woodlands a 3-0 lead.
It would be a battle of the arms and defense from then on. Bases would be juiced and hits/errors would be made but no one would capitalize on them.
The Woodlands would take the win 3-0 against Oak Ridge and will face Oak Ridge again, this time on their fields, on Friday.
