Montgomery County tax office and appraisal district to team up to present property tax workshops

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Office of the Montgomery County Tax Assessor-Collector, Tammy J. McRae, and the Montgomery Central Appraisal District have partnered to bring Montgomery County residents a series of property tax workshops occurring at different times and locations over the next few weeks.

Homeowners invited to attend and gain invaluable insight and information


At these workshops, which are free and open to the public, attendees will learn about the tax issues of homeownership, as well as have their questions answered.

“We’ll discuss how the property tax system works, real estate market trends, 2023 Notice of Appraised Values, right to protest, tax rates, deadlines, and payment options,” said McRae’s office in a statement.

The property tax workshops will take place at the following dates, times, and locations:

• March 27 – 6 - 7:30 p.m. – East Montgomery County Senior Center, 21679 McCleskey Rd, New Caney
• April 3 – 6 - 7:30 p.m. – City of Conroe Council Chambers, 300 W Davis, Conroe
• April 4 – 6 - 7:30 p.m. – North Montgomery County Community Center, 600 Gerald St, Willis
• April 5 – 6 - 7:30 p.m. – West Montgomery County Community Center, 31355 Friendship Dr, Magnolia
• April 11 – 6 - 7:30 p.m. – Lone Star College Community Building, 5000 Research Forest Dr, The Woodlands
