THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Precinct 3 Residential Recycling Facility will be closed Saturday, April 22, 2023, due to the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Americas Championship in The Woodlands.

The competition draws participants from around the world and involves a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands; a 112-mile bike ride along roads in The Woodlands and Spring area into Harris County along the Hardy Toll Road; and a 26.2-mile run in The Woodlands, especially around Lake Woodlands, the Waterway and Town Center areas.

The bike route travels down Pruitt/Budde Road out toward Interstate 45 and will be affected between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., making it difficult to access the Recycle Facility. Roads along the race course will be affected throughout the day, starting around 6 a.m.
