Stolen Coke Bottle Leads To Recovery Of Stolen Vehicle.

SHENANDOAH, TX -- Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a store located in the Portofino Shopping Center. The suspect was stopped and cited for stealing a Coke bottle and a pair of sunglasses. While officers were returning the stolen property, they were made aware of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. An investigation resulted in discovering the vehicle was entered stolen by a neighboring agency. Officers attempted to locate the driver but were unsuccessful. A witness provided a detailed description of the driver, which matched that of the named suspect in the original theft of a motor vehicle report. A warrant will be issued for the driver for the charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
