Rock N' Roar at The Pavilion's Children's Festival Nov. 11-12!

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant Jurassic playground for the annual Children’s Festival presented by Texas Children’s Hospital—The Woodlands and the whole family is invited to come have some dino-mite fun! Tickets are now on sale for this year’s festival which will take place on Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 12 from Noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities.

With performers on multiple stages, character meet and greets, a special toddler area just for the youngest festivalgoers, arts and crafts, hands-on activities and exciting active adventures, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy along The Pavilion’s unforgettable journey into the prehistoric era!

Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live will guide families on a breathtaking adventure where they can observe, meet and interact with an eye-popping collection of amazingly life-like dinosaurs and other creatures presented in a theatrical performance that will thrill and entertain kids while stimulating their imaginations in ways that will forever connect them to their world. Brought to life by a team of skilled performers and puppeteers, and designed with the help of professional paleontologists, Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live’s puppets are so extraordinarily realistic you may feel the urge to run and hide – but don’t! Throughout the weekend, kids will have the opportunity to meet the ferociously friendly Tex the T-Rex and Tiger the Raptor from Wild Dinosaurs Entertainment at the Meet & Greet tent in the South Plaza. Don’t forget your camera to snap photos with these ROAR-some prehistoric pets!

Explore the land of the STEAMosaurus which will be full of interactive and educational activities providing families with an opportunity to learn in a fun, exploratory environment. Launch into space with Janet’s Planet, create glow-in-the-dark slime and fake snow with Little Beakers and enjoy a whole slew of other activities including hat making and an instrument petting zoo where kids can get their hands on real orchestra instruments.

Kids are encouraged to unleash their inner artist and create their own masterpieces in the inspiring realm of the CREATEosaur. Located in The Pavilion Event Center, children will learn about lines, colors, shapes, patterns, unity, balance and more by using these elements to make a variety of imaginative creations. Kids can discover the art of drawing with hands-on drawing classes presented by Young Rembrandts all weekend long. On the Jurassic Jamboree Arts Stage, families can sing along with princesses or ignite their creativity with inspiring performances by local groups.

Coming to the festival with a little one? Then you won’t want to miss the magical land of the TriceraTOTS, a special “festival-within-a-festival” for the youngest festivalgoers, ages 4 and under. Little ones will have plenty to do with musical performances, hands-on games and activities, free exploration in the Toddler Towns soft play area and a special inflatable just for toddlers. Be sure to check the schedule for an exciting opportunity to meet Wild Dinosaur Entertainment’s baby dinosaur puppets! This area is also home to the Comfort Lounge, a quiet and comfortable place to relax, feed baby and get organized complete with a diaper change area and private nooks for nursing mothers.

The Watering Hole is your gateway to Children’s Festival and home to the Community Stage! Catch student performers from all over as they show off their hard-earned skills in a variety of shows and programs. Plus, swing by The Woodlands Children’s Museum booth for hands-on fun!

Run, jump, bounce, climb and soar - the ADVENTURE Raptor zone is packed full of adrenaline-raising fun that kids of all ages will be sure to love every second. Be on the lookout for rock-climbing walls, bungee jumpers, huge slides, inflatable games, an animal petting and so much more!

A fan-favorite, TyrannoTRANSIT is coming back bigger and better than ever. Learn about the inner-workings of some of the best trucks, tractors and automobiles that The Woodlands area has to offer. Afterwards, take it easy on The Pavilion’s Extinction Express – a train ride full of prehistoric surprises. Don’t forget to head to top of The Pavilion to see the LAWNodon, where kids can experience giant bubble play with The Texas Bubblers, build and fly their own dinosaur kite, dig for fossils and participate in parachute races down the lawn.

Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Children aged 2 and under are free of charge. All activities and performances are included in the price of admission. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $10 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion off Timberloch Place. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
