THE WOODLANDS, TX – We hate to make promises we can’t keep, but we’re pretty confident that the days of triple-digit highs are behind us for the next nine months or so. The seasons continue, and this week on Friday we’ll officially be in fall. Fortunately, the weather patterns got the memo, and the weather is starting to match the month.

Fall hits this week… but did someone tell the weather?

Though some of us got drenched over the weekend, today’s high pressure system will keep things bright and warm as the temps crawl up to a high of 94 with nothing added to the heat index. Miraculously, around bedtime we’ll actually be in the 70s to settle for an overnight low of 68.

Tuesday will be a near-repeat, with another dry high of 94 under sunny skies, with some brisker breezes to cool the brow. Our overnight Tuesday-into-Wednesday low will be slightly higher, hovering around 70.

On Wednesday, some clouds will finally move in, spiking in the early afternoon. We’ll end up about a degree warmer but with higher winds – reaching about 10 mph – to help segue us into the more seasonal weather. It’ll be our warmest overnight low this week yet, at about 73 degrees, so don’t retire the home AC unit yet.

As we plod through Thursday, we’ll have another warm day with a high in the mid 90s, but some cloud cover will come in to help trap the heat and maybe bring a few raindrops with it, but probably only enough to smear your windshield. The low will drop a couple of degrees to make for a pleasant overnight.

On Friday, the clouds and slight chances of rain will continue – presaging a possibly wet weekend – but the weather won’t go bonkers in either direction. While not exactly Goldilocks weather of being ‘just right,’ we can enjoy on this first day of fall as best we can…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
