THE WOODLANDS, TX – On Thursday, October 26, Montgomery County First Responders and community partners, in collaboration with the State of Texas, will participate in a real-time, full-scale emergency exercise at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. To maintain the integrity of the simulation and maximize the opportunity for first responders to react in real-time, specific drill details will not be shared.

The exercise will simulate a complex coordinated terrorist attack scenario, allowing emergency response agencies, law enforcement, and other relevant stakeholders to test their coordination, communication, and response strategies. In order to avoid any confusion or fear in the surrounding community, drill officials are alerting residents that there will be a large-scale emergency exercise for first responders on that date. Residents should not be alarmed by numerous emergency vehicles and personnel at or near The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on that date. The drill will last approximately four hours.

Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Lieutenant Scott Spencer with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 936-538-3456 or mcsomedia@mctx.org.
