THE WOODLANDS, TX – At the risk of jinxing it, we at the Woodlands Online Weather Department have to say that The Woodlands will experience near-perfect weather all weekend long. Let’s get right to it.

Bright, cool, and breezy… it rarely gets better than this

Already today, we’ve seen a cool morning under partly cloudy skies. The clouds brought some moisture with them, so we have a heat index tagging along for a while, and our afternoon high of 86 will feel like 91. This is near-perfect for you to play hooky and get an afternoon of sunbathing in, if that’s your thing, as the clouds wander away to near-nothing by late tonight. Just before bedtime there is the teeniest-tiniest chance of a few raindrops, but even if they show up it’ll be their last appearance for a while. You should be aware that the Chris Stapleton concert planned at the Pavilion has been rescheduled for a later date, but you can still get your music needs filled at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn, with War Hippies taking the stage.

Coming out of an overnight low of 59, Saturday morning will dawn to beautifully sunny skies without a cloud to be seen. The winds will steadily increase throughout the morning until we have early afternoon gusts of about 13 mph coming out of the north. Cool will prevail; we won’t even hit our high of 78 – with nothing added to the heat index – until around 4 o’clock in the afternoon. If you want something for the entire family to do, head out to The John Cooper School for their Admission Open House to find out what the Voted Number One Private School in The Woodlands has to offer. Right around sundown, the temps and winds will finally diminish at the same time, making for a beautiful, cool, still evening. The cool front will continue overnight as we hit a low of 55.

For Sunday, it will be another bright, sunny, cloudless day with not a whiff of precipitation. Midafternoon will see an uptick in the winds to make for some great kite-flying or sailing weather, but bear in mind that we’ll be staying in the 50s until around 10 a.m., and will only hit a high of 73. You can enjoy some more family fun at the Grand Reopening of Learning Express, which will have special activities for the kiddos. Overnight, we’re going to get all the way down to a balmy 51 degrees, so think about keeping some windows open if you feel safe and saucy.

As we work our way out of the weekend and into the work week, you can expect some more of the same for a couple of days, but beware warmer weather and stormy skies later on in the week…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
