THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township would like to remind residents of the closures and service schedules in effect for the upcoming holidays. Numerous facilities will be observing altered schedules and hours during the coming weeks.

As the holidays approach, residents are reminded to help keep the community safer this season by avoiding the discharge of home fireworks, as outlined by The Woodlands Covenants. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community. The Woodlands Fire Department also reminds residents to use 9-1-1 for emergencies only.

Holiday Closures and Service Schedules:

  • The Woodlands Township offices, The Recreation Center at Bear Branch and The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park will be closed Monday, December 25, and Tuesday, December 26, 2023, and Monday, January 1, 2024, in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
  • No curbside service of recycling and trash pickup on Monday, December 25, 2023, and Monday, January 1, 2024. Services will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the subsequent week. After December 25, live trees may be placed at the curb on your regular service day. Please remove all lights, decorations and tree stands to ensure pickup.

Undecorated trees may be placed in the tree corrals beginning on December 22, 2023, through January 8, 2024. Please note: All tinsel, garland and decorations must be removed before drop-off.
