YES to YOUTH needs your help to finish 2023 helping as many as they can

THE WOODLANDS, TX – YES to YOUTH - Montgomery County Youth Services continues every day to strengthen the emotional and mental health development of youth and families by providing crisis intervention, counseling, and suicide prevention services.

This locally based nonprofit organization provides a safe and nurturing home where abused, battered, sex-trafficked, homeless, and at-risk youth can begin healing from the past and become empowered for the future. Understandingly, it costs much money to keep the facility and services in full effect, leading to the annual Make a Difference program.

The 2023 Make a Difference is coming to a close, but representatives from YES to YOUTH stress that this end of the year is important as well.

Michele Kooken, Chief Executive Officer of the organization, listed donation amount suggestions and what each donation could tangibly affect “The following represents our greatest needs and where your donation will make a true impact,” she said.

• $50 – Therapeutic games and materials for their four counseling offices
• $100 – School supplies and a backpack for one BridgeWay youth
• $250 – Bedding and hygiene items for one BridgeWay youth
• $500 – Seven days of meals for the entire BridgeWay Home
• $1,000 – Six-week grief group counseling program in local schools
• $2,500 – Provides a one-week stay for a homeless youth at BridgeWay Home
• $5,000 – Provides six months of weekly counseling trauma support, and mental health sessions for one child
• $10,000 – Provides six months of food for the organization’s BridgeWay Home
