Sterling Ridge Village Association invites people to apply to be elected to its board of directors

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Are you interested in contributing to your community? Would you like to make a difference in making our village a better place to live? The Sterling Ridge Village Association is looking for new board members to help our cause.

The village board is made up of thirteen (13) directors and holds monthly meetings – that are open to the public – to keep our residents informed of important matters that impact our community. We organize social events, like our annual BBQ, Golf Tournament and Fishing Tournament, for the residents of our village. We raise money and distribute grants to the three elementary schools in our village and provide scholarships to deserving college freshmen.

Elections will be held in February and there are seven (7) positions that will be elected. In order to be on the ballot, you must file with The Woodlands Township. Filing is open to residents and property owners in Sterling Ridge, ages 18 and over.

Filing for these positions begins Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., and ends Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 5 p.m., for the 2024 election. During the filing period, filing forms may be obtained online at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov, from Village Association presidents, or at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
