Daniel Alexander Announced as Angel Reach Executive Director
CONROE, TX -- Angel Reach announced that Daniel Alexander will be joining the organization as Executive Director as of January 15, 2024 following the retirement of Jean Radach. Alexander was previously the Operations Leader for the South-Central division of Young Life, a nondenominational, faith-based nonprofit ministering to middle school, high school and college students.
“I am exceedingly pleased to welcome Daniel to the Angel Reach team and know he brings leadership inspired by a heart for service and commitment rooted in a sincere love and concern for the youth of our community,” said Charles Maurice, Chairman of the Angel Reach Board of Directors.
After growing up in The Woodlands and attending Oakridge High School, Alexander enlisted in the United States Army just prior to the September 11 attacks in 2001 and served as part of a combat infantry battalion in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from LeTourneau University and a Masters in Business Administration from Concordia University Texas.
“I am very excited about the stage of life that Angel Reach is in right now, with the work that is being done and the new Village opening up. But there are a tremendous number of kids who don’t know who we are and the resources we can offer,” Alexander said. “This is the time to encourage and accompany these young people who have experienced a hard and broken foster care system into a productive and independent future.”
He added that he is excited to partner with the staff at Angel Reach, “a wonderful team of A+ players who are all here for the right reasons.”
Alexander lives in The Woodlands with his wife, Anna, and their three young children. Anna currently works with their church in the children’s ministry and sees her husband’s move to Angel Reach as a calling for their whole family.
Angel Reach is a Montgomery County nonprofit serving the Greater Houston area, focusing on meeting the needs of youth ages 16- to 24-years old who have aged out of the foster care system (CPS) and also supporting next of kin families to keep children out of CPS. Angel Reach offers a wide range of volunteer and financial support opportunities. To find out more, visit the website at www.AngelReach.org.
