William Murphy, Jr. Joins Angel Reach Board of Directors

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Will Murphy, a Private Wealth Financial Advisor with Murphy Private Wealth Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, has joined the Angel Reach Board of Directors, according to Chairman Charles Maurice. Murphy brings a long history of impactful community service, recently as Interfaith of The Woodlands ex officio Chairman, as well as a strong background in fundraising and nonprofit support.

“For my wife Nicole and I, we are big believers of giving of ourselves where we can have close contact with the people we serve and see individual results,” Murphy said. “It’s possible to change the trajectory of someone’s life, because every micro move can have macro results.”

Murphy served eight years with Interfaith of The Woodlands board and will continue to stay active with the organization. He is also a founding board member and has been a valuable volunteer with the Will Herndon Fund and Beyond Batten Disease Foundation since the organization’s inception.

A graduate of The University of New Orleans with a master’s degree in business administration, Murphy and his family arrived in The Woodlands after relocating for hurricanes Katrina and Rita. They were introduced to Angel Reach through George Lindahl and the organization’s first fundraising gala.

As a board member of Angel Reach, Will Murphy acts in a completely separate role from his position as a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Angel Reach is a Montgomery County nonprofit serving the Greater Houston area focused on meeting the needs of youth who have aged out (16-24) of the foster care system (CPS) and also supports families (next of kin) keeping children out of CPS.
