The Woodlands Triathlon coming May 11

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Triathlon will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Northshore Park at 7 a.m. As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, The Woodlands Triathlon, produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, offers beginner-friendly atmosphere, first-rate race management and scenic courses.

The annual race is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event and will feature a field of 800 participants ranging from beginners to nationally ranked triathletes. The event culminates with a festive awards party featuring live music, great food, beverages and more.

Course and parking maps will be available soon, as will course cut-off times, wave list, and other race particulars.

Packet pickup will occur on the following dates at the following locations: Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Northshore Park; Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Woodlands Township Townhall at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.; Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. atThe Woodlands Township Townhall; and Friday, May 10, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Bikeland, 19189 I-45 Suite B in Shenandoah.

Race results will be posted no later than 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Awards will be distributed to participants onsite. Awards to be provided include:

Qualified/Open - Male and Female (Top three in each)
Overall Winner - Male and Female
Overall Masters Winner - Male and Female (40 years and up)
Randolph Parnell Award (Clydesdale, 50 years and up)
Dr. Phelan Courage Award (Last athlete to cross finish line within cut-off time)
Top three male and female finishers in the following age categories: 14 years and younger; 15-19 years; 20-24 years; 25-29 years; 30-34 years; 35-39 years; 40-44 years; 45-49 years; 50-54 years; 55-59 years; 60-64 years; 65-69 years; 70-74 years; 75 years and up
Clydesdale - Top three finishers in the following age categories: 29 and under; 30-39; 40-49; 50 and up
Athena - Top three finishers in the following age categories: 29 and under; 30-39; 40-49; 50 and up
Overall Relay Team - Male, Female and Coed
