THE WOODLANDS, TX – San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) continues to closely monitor the rainfall expected throughout Southeast Texas. SJRA manages Lake Conroe water level any time the lake level exceeds 201ft. msl.

The level of Lake Conroe is currently 201.56 ft. msl; slow releases began late Monday and continue into Tuesday to mitigate rising lake levels.

At last check, additional rainfall amounts of 2" - 4" of rain can be expected in the Lake Conroe watershed into Wednesday. Depending on the amount of rainfall and runoff, releases may increase into Wednesday. Our operators are on duty and will remain on duty throughout the weather event to monitor conditions.

The Authority is in communication with the National Weather Service, Coastal Water Authority, local offices of emergency management and other regional partners.

To stay weather aware during the rainfall this week, make sure to follow your local Office of Emergency Management, as well as local weather sources, and the National Weather Service - Houston.
