THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid.” — President Ronald Reagan

Usually, we talk about the fun events that are happening; however, this week we dedicate one of our events to a somber but life-affirming commemoration of a fallen local law enforcement officer. We hope you can make it; and to raise your spirits before and after, we have plenty of uplifting events for the entire family in the end of this leap month.

Thursday, February 29

The public memorial service for Deputy Charles Rivette will be held at The Woodlands Church located at One Fellowship Drive, with the service beginning at 10 a.m. At the conclusion of the memorial service, full Line of Duty Honors will be rendered in the plaza of the Woodlands Church. All Sworn Personnel should wear their Class A uniform with mourning badges. The family has also extended an invitation for anyone who wants to join them at the graveside, which will be held at Conroe Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd., Conroe, TX. Visitation for Deputy Rivette will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Cashner Funeral Home located at 801 Teas Rd., Conroe, TX 77303. Family, friends and the public are invited to pay their respects from 6pm-8pm. A charitable account has been set up for the Rivette family. This is the only charitable account.
