Parati volunteer Coach Michael Rosman, in his 12th year of coaching the squad noted that “this is the team’s first regatta of the year. Both the coaches and the athletes are working out the kinks from winter training. This gives us a yardstick to measure the effectiveness of training and where we, both coaches and athletes, need to redouble our efforts. This is a great group of kids and I am so happy for their success. Our goal as coaches is now to broaden that success.” Assistant Coach Jacob Castro, himself a product of rowing at Parati for six years before college, is in his second year. He added that he “will continue to push the athletes beyond their comfort zone to help them to achieve their goals.”

Parati was founded in 2012 by Mike and Jan Rosman as a way to focus on the unique needs of high school athletes and utilize rowing as a means to instill character, morals and work ethic.
