Notification of Public Comment on Potential Fare Increase for The Woodlands Express

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township announces the beginning of a public comment period regarding a proposed fare increase for its commuter bus service. Public comment will be accepted during the Board of Directors meetings scheduled for March 21 and 27, 2024, both at 6 p.m. CDT. For those unable to attend in person, comments can also be submitted via email to transitcompliance@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov. The public comment period will be open until Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

This fare adjustment is under consideration to cover increasing operational costs while preserving the current quality of The Woodlands Express commuter service. Specifically, the proposal suggests raising the price of a round-trip ticket from $13.00 to $15.00, effective June 1, 2024.
