Nearly $1 million raised at YES to YOUTH gala
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Recently, YES to YOUTH, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting area children in need, held its annual fundraiser. Hundreds of community leaders and members attended the 2024 Pop Art Gala, which mixed art with message, creativity with awareness, and altruism with fundraising.
After the donations were totaled, Michele Kooken, Chief Executive Officer of YES to YOUTH, announced that approximately $920,000 of much-needed funds were raised to continue supporting the organization's mission of helping the youth of Montgomery County with essential programs. These funds will go directly to providing crisis intervention, suicide prevention, mental health counseling, and a safe nurturing home for youth in need.
“The vision for the 2024 Pop Art Gala was brought to life by our passionate co-chairs, Christin Allphin, Laura Everson, and Katrina Savage as well as the outstanding Gala Committee. We are so grateful to this amazing group for their commitment and dedication to make the night so wonderful,” said Kooken..
The gala included performance art pieces, art displays, and a performance by rising teen sensation country star Payton Riley.
