Parati Competitive Rowing Shines at Regional Championships
Smiles all around for the Parati Crew
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Parati Competitive Rowing traveled to Oklahoma City over the weekend of May 2–4, continuing a proud tradition of excellence. For the 13th consecutive year—every year since its founding in 2012—Parati has qualified crews for USRowing’s Youth National Regatta in Sarasota. This year, the team qualified an impressive eight boats, including five gold medal regional champions, one silver medal, and two bronze medals.
Earns Five Gold Medals and Qualifies Eight Boats for Youth National
Qualified Crews for Youth Nationals:
• Clare McKenna won a gold medal in the U17 1x (single), finishing over 30 seconds ahead of the second-place boat.
• Gianna Longo, Addison Bennett, Stella Straub, Nellie Coleman, and Clare McKenna (coxswain) took gold in the Women’s U16 4x+ (coxed quad).
• Christian Bohn, James Straub, Julian Herz, Timothy Reinhart, and Jude Woolsey (coxswain) earned gold in the Men’s U16 4x+ (coxed quad).
• Addison Bennett, Gianna Longo, Stella Straub, Nellie Coleman, Allegra Thompson, Lyla Haynes, Katherine Ulrich, Elise Bohn, and Presley Yartym (coxswain) claimed gold in the Women’s U16 8+ (eight).
• Timothy Reinhart, Robert Riess, Torsten Elk, Hayden Samay, Dominic Reinhart, Christian Bohn, James Straub, Julian Herz, and Jude Woolsey (coxswain) captured gold in the Men’s U16 8+ (eight).
• Juliet Bohn & Ava Andrews earned a silver medal in the Women’s 2- (pair).
• Elise Bohn, Katherine Ulrich, Allegra Thompson, Lyla Haynes, and Presley Yartym (coxswain) earned bronze in the Women’s 4x+.
• Regan Adams, Charlotte Butts, Juliet Bohn, Ava Andrews, and Ankita Nair (coxswain) secured bronze in the Women’s 4+ (four).
“Our athletes continue to show that hard work, discipline, and trust in the process pay off,” said a Parati Head Coach Michael Rosman. “We’re proud of how they compete, but more importantly, how they lead and support each other.” As Parati enters its 14th season, the team remains dedicated to using rowing as a platform to teach life lessons such as leadership, self-advocacy, determination, and the rewards of hard work.
