Fight at Sawmill Park Escalates to Gunfire at Nearby Home in The Woodlands; Suspects at Large

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On May 7, 2025, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported fight at Sawmill Park, located at 2200 Sawmill Road in The Woodlands. During the altercation, a female victim was assaulted, and a firearm was displayed. The involved parties separated shortly afterward.

The victims returned to their residence on Berryfrost Lane. A short time later, the suspects involved in the park altercation arrived at the Berryfrost residence, where another disturbance occurred. During this second incident, a firearm was discharged by one of the suspects. Fortunately, no one was struck by the gunfire, and the suspects fled the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect who discharged the firearm is a black male who Detectives are attempting to identify. Detectives are actively investigating the case and working to identify and locate all individuals involved.
