The Pavilion Offers Professional Development Grants for Arts Educators
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Pavilion is proud to announce the opening of its 2025 Professional Development Grant program for visual and performing arts educators working in public schools across the Greater Houston metropolitan area. The application period runs from May 10 through May 26, 2025, offering local arts teachers the opportunity to enhance their teaching methods and expand their arts curriculum through specialized training and educational events.
Designed to support K-12 arts educators, this reimbursement-style grant program provides financial assistance for participation in workshops, conferences and seminars that promote professional growth in arts instruction. Eligible applicants must teach in one of the following counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker or Waller.
Approved professional development events must take place between June 1 and December 31, 2025, with proof of expenses and a final report due by January 31, 2026. A second application period for events occurring from January through May 2026 will be announced in August 2025.
Educators who have received previous grants describe the experience as transformative. “...I was captivated by the opportunity to engage with fellow educators, exchanging ideas, tools and strategies to further advance and enrich our students' learning experiences. Being surrounded by individuals who deeply understand and live for the art of dance was incredibly motivating. It was uplifting to connect with those who not only use dance as a medium for education but also as a source of personal fulfillment and creative expression,” says a past recipient. Participants in the professional development grant program return with hands-on knowledge from expert mentors, fresh approaches to teaching, and an invigorated sense of purpose.
