The summerlike weather will hang around for the week before we once again dip back down into the 80s for our highs (at least for a little bit), so there’s plenty to do indoors and out. Come one, come all to SCFL Youth Football for the 2025 season! If you’re looking for a home for your football player or cheerleader, ages 5 through 12, then look no further. Early registration ends June 6; the last day to sign up is July 11.

The Woodlands Arts Council welcomes its summer exhibition, “Essence: People & Places,” featuring the vibrant work of visionary artist Jim N. Hill. On view through August 7, this colorful and expressive collection invites viewers into a world of serene landscapes, cheerful moments, and reflections on the joy of everyday life.

Registration is now open for college essay and application bootcamps, hosted by The Woodlands Behavioral Health & Wellness Center, led by Dr. Jeanie McCusker, LPC, CSC, Certified College Access Counselor. The college application process can feel overwhelming – but it doesn’t have to be. These bootcamps are designed to help students take charge of their future with confidence and clarity. The essay bootcamp will take place June 16 and 23, and the application bootcamp will take place July 28, July 30, August 4, and August 6.

Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairy tale comes to life in TWHS Theater’s production of ‘Into the Woods,’ May 19 - 22, at 7 p.m. at The Woodlands High School. Featuring all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch – this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the king's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk.
