Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Conducts Successful Retail Theft Operation

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On the afternoon of Friday, July 18, 2025, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office conducted a proactive retail theft operation in South Montgomery County, targeting organized retail crime. Members of the Crime Reduction Unit, in partnership with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and Organized Crime Unit, executed the initiative aimed at deterring and apprehending individuals involved in retail theft.
The operation resulted in the arrest of two adults for theft and one warrant arrest. Approximately $1,350.00 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered during the proactive enforcement.
Those arrested include:
Maria Silva, 68, a resident of Harris County, was arrested for Misdemeanor Theft. The ongoing investigation revealed that Silva had also committed a theft earlier in the day from the same retail store, prior to the commencement of the operation.
Faraz Hussain, 40, a resident of Harris County, was arrested on a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) warrant.
Allice Goodwin, 38, a resident of Harris County, was arrested for Felony Theft. Numerous stolen clothing items were recovered from her person, where they had been concealed around her waist and stuffed into her bra. Goodwin has a significant criminal history, with eight previous convictions for theft, six of which are felonies.
