Tomball ISD maintains “A” rating from TEA and continues to celebrate district-wide excellence

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Tomball ISD is proud to announce it has once again earned an “A” rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in the 2025 A-F Accountability system. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive time the District has received the state's highest possible rating since the accountability system's inception, solidifying its reputation as a leader in academic excellence.

This remarkable accomplishment extends to Tomball ISD campuses, with a record 18 schools earning an “A” designation, 15 of which earned an A in all three of the domain components. This includes a notable success story at Rosehill Elementary, which improved its campus rating by 16 points to earn an "A," demonstrating a commitment to continuous growth and student success. In addition, all three high schools in Tomball ISD once again earned a straight “A” rating across all domains.

"This A rating is a direct reflection of the dedication and hard work of our incredible students, teachers and campus leaders,” said Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, Tomball ISD Superintendent. "It's also a testament to the powerful partnership we share with our parents, who are our most vital collaborators in education. These impressive results are a true community effort, and we are immensely proud of everyone involved."

The TISD Board of Trustees has also provided exceptional leadership and vision. Their strategic guidance has not only been instrumental in delivering these outstanding academic results but also in demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility by also delivering a balanced budget. Their continued support of district initiatives and sound financial stewardship have created a stable and prosperous environment for both academic excellence and long-term success.

The TEA's accountability ratings are based on a variety of metrics, including student achievement, school progress, and efforts to close achievement gaps among student groups. Tomball ISD's consistent performance across these indicators highlights the district's effective instructional strategies and supportive learning environment.
