Believe it or not, we’re going to head back down into the 90s for our highs by this weekend. It may be a blip, it may be a trend, it may be a signal for the end of summer… but in any case it’s a cause for reveling. Here are some events you might want to try on for size to celebrate.

Monday, August 25
Ale & Ivy wants you to commemorate the television event (for some) of the year with a watch party for ‘Summer of Love – The Reunion.’ It’s giving drama, drinks, and Girl Dinner (you need to know the series or show up to the party to get that last one). Featuring island-themed cocktails, drink specials, $10 pizza after 9 p.m., and free karaoke studios starting at 9 o’clock.

Join Copendero Indoor Archery, Pistol, & Rifle Range tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. for their CZ-USA & GSL Technology Suppressor Steel Target Match. This is an incredible opportunity for shooters to hone their skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts in an event that promises to be both fun and challenging. Shooters will compete in an 8-stage steel target match using the firearms that the CZ-USA and GSL Technology Rep provides.

Shadow Puppet Theatre at The Woodlands Children’s Museum presents “Bullfrog Pops!” by Rick Walton at 11 a.m. Bullfrog, with his voracious appetite, gets into a heap of trouble in Ravenous Gulch but has the chance to be the town’s hero at the upcoming County Super Eater Contest! Included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older. Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allow readers and audience to interact directly with each other.
