THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Interfaith Community Clinic proudly supports women’s health this October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a trusted healthcare provider for uninsured and underinsured residents, the Clinic continues to be a vital place where women can turn for essential preventive care, including free Well Woman Exams and referrals for mammograms.

Through its long-standing partnership with Memorial Hermann The Woodlands In the Pink of Health, Interfaith Community Clinic ensures women in need have access to critical screenings regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. These services play a vital role in early detection and treatment, empowering women to take charge of their health.

This impact is seen in the story of a 52-year-old woman who came to the Clinic with breast swelling, tenderness, and other symptoms. She had never had a mammogram, but thanks to the Clinic’s support, she received a diagnostic mammogram and biopsy, which confirmed early-stage breast cancer. She is now moving forward with treatment, gaining access to life-saving care she could not have managed alone.

In addition to women’s health services, the Clinic has seen a significant increase in demand for behavioral health care as more patients seek counseling and mental health support. In response, Interfaith Community Clinic has expanded its Behavioral Health Program to meet this growing need, reinforcing its commitment to comprehensive, compassionate care.

“Preventive care and mental health are both essential to overall wellness,” said Missy Herndon, President & CEO of Interfaith Community Clinic. “We’re grateful for partners like In the Pink of Health and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands who make it possible for us to continue serving our patients with the dignity, care, and support they deserve.”

As the year comes to a close, Interfaith Community Clinic invites the community to help continue its mission of providing quality, affordable healthcare to all.
