Montgomery County Food Bank hosting ‘virtual food drive’ now
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Montgomery County Food Bank has announced that its first Virtual Food Drive of 2026 is officially underway.
Instead of emptying out pantries or hitting the grocery stores, the food bank is requesting monetary donations during this drive to maximize purchase power. Donations can be one-time or recurring.
“Why is this drive so important? Montgomery County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, and with that growth comes rising costs. Today, 1 in 6 of our neighbors don’t have consistent access to food,” said Kristine Marlow, president and CEO of MCFB. “Thanks to generous supporters like you, Montgomery County Food Bank is able to keep food moving locally through a network of more than 90 partner agencies right here in our county. Together, we’re stocking pantries, filling plates, and meeting neighbors where they are.”
Marlow stresses that your donations – whether in food or money – enables neighbors across Montgomery County to access nutritious food they may not be able to afford on their own. She notes that a single dollar donation can provide up to four meals.
