THE WOODLANDS, TX – Woodlands Water has announced that it is hosting a special art contest for children in grades 3, 4, and 5.

“We want to see how creative you are and find out why you think saving water is so important,” said event organizers in a statement.

The ‘Every Drop Counts’ art contest is accepting submissions through May 15. All artwork must be original and incorporate the theme ‘every drop counts’ on 8.5″ x 11″ paper and in landscape orientation. The art can be created in color pencil, crayon, marker; or paint; however, organizers stress that computer graphics, photographs, or 3-D images will not be considered.

One winner will be chosen for each grade level. A $150 gift card for classroom supplies will be awarded to that student’s teacher. Additionally, the winning art will be featured at The Woodlands Water Agency building.

Email submissions to swilliams@woodlandswater.org or deliver to The Woodlands Water Agency at 2455 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Submissions must include the artist’s name, grade, school, and homeroom teacher’s name.
