Artificial Intelligence Used in Child Exploitation
CONROE, TX -- During the month of May 2026, Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigations Division opened an investigation involving an 18-year-old male, identified as Alexander Marban of Conroe, Texas. During the investigation, detectives learned that Marban used an artificial intelligence program on his cellular phone to alter public social media photographs of several underage females by removing their clothing. The altered images depicted the faces of minors with nude bodies from the neck down.
On May 28, 2026, detectives executed a search warrant at Marban’s residence in Conroe, Texas. Marban’s devices were seized and later forensically analyzed. Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, Pct. 3 detectives established probable cause to believe Marban created the images of the underage females with the intent to possess Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM).
Marban was arrested at his residence and charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a second-degree felony, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, a state jail felony.
This is an ongoing investigation to identify additional victims. Detectives are asking anyone with information related to this case or the defendant to contact 281-364-4211 and ask to speak with a detective. The public may also submit an online tip through the department’s website.
