THE WOODLANDS, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX (Habitat MCTX) celebrated the completion of Blitz Build 2026 and the first four homes in Marble Creek, its newest community in Magnolia. The milestone marks the beginning of a new neighborhood that will provide more than 200 families with the opportunity to achieve affordable homeownership.

The first four homes in the 81-acre Marble Creek community were completed in less than one month through the collaboration of Habitat MCTX’s Blitz Build Partners: LGI Homes, Matt Powers Custom Homes & Renovations, and Laura Powers Property Group, Compass RE TX LLC, and their trade partners. Matt Powers Custom Homes & Renovations and Laura Powers Property Group, Compass RE TX LLC built one home in less than one month, and LGI Homes completed three homes in just five days during the 2026 Blitz Build.

The first two homes in Marble Creek were dedicated to Elizabeth and Nettaya, two local mothers beginning a new chapter through Habitat MCTX's homeownership program. Elizabeth is a teacher in Magnolia ISD's ABLE program and looks forward to providing her son with the stability of a home and a place where he can continue to grow. Nettaya has worked hard to provide for her family and is excited to create new memories in a home of their own.

“This is a very special day for our organization and for the future of Marble Creek,” said Vicki Johnson, Executive Director of Habitat MCTX. “After years of prayer, planning, and partnership, we are here to celebrate the 2026 Blitz Build and the completion of the first four homes in our new community.”

The vision for Marble Creek began in 2021 and became possible through the generosity of the Chimenti family, who donated 81 acres of land for the future community.

“From that moment on, we have seen God’s hand in this project again and again,” said Johnson. “Marble Creek is something we have prayed for, worked toward, and trusted God for over many years.”

“This is our second Blitz Build with Habitat, and it is incredible to see what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose,” said Chuck Collier, Vice President of Construction at LGI Homes. “In just five days, our LGI team and trade partners have worked together to build three homes that will become part of the very first chapter of Marble Creek.”

“Our love language is our family, and in our professions we get to work with many families and where they live… in a place called home,” said Laura Powers. “A home can change the trajectory of a family’s future. It provides stability, security, and a foundation for new memories.”

“One of my Dad’s favorite quotes to us as children was the privilege of planting trees in your life under which you may never benefit from the shade. Well, Dad would be impressed, these trees sure grew fast,” said Matt Powers.

Marble Creek represents the next chapter of Habitat MCTX's affordable homeownership mission. Earlier this year, Habitat MCTX celebrated the completion of Cedar Creek in Conroe after more than 20 years of building 129 homes for local families. Now, that mission continues in Magnolia with Marble Creek.

The Marble Creek Capital Campaign is helping make this vision possible. Habitat MCTX has successfully raised more than $6 million toward the $11 million goal needed to complete the neighborhood and is seeking community support to raise the remaining $5 million.

Those who donate to the Marble Creek Capital Campaign have the opportunity to participate in Hope Notes, a special way to encourage future Marble Creek homeowners. Donors can write a note of love and encouragement that will be shared with homeowners during their future home dedication ceremonies.
