Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County announces 2026 Building Hope Gala “Casa de Corazón”
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas (Habitat MCTX) will host its 13th annual Building Hope Gala, presented by BMW of The Woodlands, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands. The theme for the 2026 gala is Casa de Corazón (House of Heart). Guests can look forward to an elegant, fiesta-inspired evening celebrating community, philanthropy, and lasting impact.
Habitat MCTX is excited to announce Tina Rivera, owner of arc electric + lighting, as the 2026 Gala Chair. Tina and her family have been dedicated ambassadors and supporters of Habitat MCTX, providing both in-kind and financial contributions, such as standby generators for the gala’s live auction and so much more. Tina’s hands-on commitment shows in her leadership as an active member of the Can Do Crew, an all-women team building homes for the community. Her passion and unique blend of advocacy, corporate support, and active involvement make Tina an inspiring leader for the gala. This long-standing commitment embodies the spirit of giving that Habitat MCTX celebrates.
“I am so honored to serve as Chair of the 2026 Building Hope Gala,” said Tina Rivera. “This gala is a celebration of our community, of the incredible generosity that surrounds us, and of the families whose lives are transformed by a safe, loving home. I cannot wait to come together with friends, neighbors, and supporters to make it a memorable evening full of heart.”
The Building Hope Gala is Habitat MCTX’s largest annual fundraiser, fueling its mission to build homes, communities, and hope. At the 2025 event, generous sponsors and supporters helped raise more than $1 million, setting a record for the organization. This year, the goal is to extend that success and provide the resources needed to continue serving local families.
“We are proud to support the Building Hope Gala and the life-changing mission of Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County,” said Steven Lutz, General Manager of BMW of The Woodlands. “At BMW of The Woodlands, we believe in driving positive change and empowering families to build a stronger future through homeownership.”
The timing of the 2026 gala is especially meaningful as Habitat MCTX prepares to complete the final four homes in its Cedar Creek neighborhood in Conroe. With Cedar Creek nearly finished, the organization is turning its focus to Marble Creek, a new Habitat neighborhood in Magnolia that will provide homes for more than 200 families.
“Our community has shown time and again that when we come together, incredible things happen,” said Vicki Johnson, Executive Director of Habitat MCTX. “This gala is more than a night of celebration. It is a chance to invest in families, in stability, and in the future of Montgomery County. Together, we build brighter futures for our neighbors.”
Habitat MCTX invites the community to continue making a difference by becoming a sponsor or underwriter for the 2026 Building Hope Gala. Support at any level will help the organization reach even greater heights, empowering more families to realize the dream of homeownership.
