HTX Soccer Delivers a Standout GA Inspire South Regional Event

HTX Soccer hosted the Girls Academy Inspire South Regional, an event for some of the best U11–U12 girls in the region, on October 10–11, 2026, at Gosling Sports Fields in The Woodlands, Texas. Top elite teams traveled from across Texas to compete on first-class facilities in perfect weather. A big thank you goes to the referees, staff, volunteers, and athletic trainers who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend. HTX Soccer were invited to host this event by the Girls Academy and graciously accepted allowing our members to play a regional event close to home.

Weekend Results:

A special thank you goes to The Woodlands Township for providing the fields and support staff that made the event possible, and to AutoNation for providing our sideline game day equipment. Bringing teams and families from across Texas to the area also brought new economic impact to The Woodlands Township.

Leadership Reflections......

“Hosting the Girls Academy Inspire South Regional was a positive opportunity for our club, and we wanted to deliver a first-class weekend on outstanding facilities,” said Andy Squire, Girls Director. “I want to thank our parents, the visiting teams and coaches, and everybody involved who helped make this weekend so special for these young players. We look forward to continuing to support the Girls Academy and hosting future events wherever possible.”

"It was such a privilege to host the inaugural Girls Academy - Southern Regional Event this past weekend," said Michael Openshaw, City Program | Inspire Director. "Credit to all clubs’ families, players and coaches for contributing to a superb environment. A special shout out to the internal HTX staff for all their hard work in preparing and delivering an excellent event setting."
