Account Manager / Travel Planner
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and detail-oriented Account Manager / Meeting & Event Planner to oversee client relationships and manage the full lifecycle of corporate travel programs, meetings, conferences, and incentive events. This hybrid role requires a blend of strategic client management, program planning expertise, and on-site execution skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable experiences, highly organized, and confident working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Account Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring strong communication, satisfaction, and program renewals.
• Build and manage timelines, budgets, and expectations for each program from inception through execution and post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth delivery of services and logistics.
• Lead or support program presentations, proposals, and final billing reconciliation.
• Renew and re-sell existing programs annually, maintaining high levels of client retention.
Program Planning & Execution
• Plan and execute all components of meetings, conferences, and group incentive travel programs.
• Negotiate, execute, and manage contracts with hotels, DMCs, venues, and other suppliers.
• Develop itineraries, schedules, costing, and comprehensive event logistics.
• Oversee participant registration, airline ticketing (individual and group), and program collateral (digital and print).
• Provide engaging and creative recommendations for event flow, activities, and participant engagement.
• Train and coordinate on-site travel staff, conduct staff briefings, and travel as needed to manage on-site operations.
Operations & Financial Oversight
• Participate in budget creation and monitoring; ensure all expenses align with financial goals.
• Coordinate accounting tasks, track program costs, and prepare internal reports.
• Support process improvement initiatives and actively contribute ideas for increased efficiency and client satisfaction.
•Bachelor’s Degree and 2–3 years of experience
•Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Superior organizational and time-management abilities
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
