The Woodlands Lacrosse Club Hosting Summer Camp

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands Lacrosse Club will host a Summer Lacrosse Camp on Monday, July 26. from 9 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.; Tuesday, July 27, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 7 – 10 p.m.; and Wednesday, July 28, from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.  The Camp will take place at the SCFL Fields at Gullo Park on Pruitt Road in Spring, Texas. The camp focuses on skill development at all levels and each day will be capped off by game play.  There will be prizes and contests throughout the three days. The age group for the camp is 1st – 12th grade. The “Young Guns” group is for new players from kindergarten through 4th grade without equipment.

The Woodlands High School and Middle School coaching staffs will be on?hand.  Two of the coaches this year will include:

Scott Rodgers - Goal (senior captain), Notre Dame.   All-American in 2009 and probable 1st round draft pick in the Major League Lacrosse draft.  At 6'4" and 250 pounds, Scott is an imposing figure in the goal.  His outstanding performance led to Notre Dame's first and second round upsets of Princeton and Maryland in the 2010 NCAA tournament. The team advances to the Final Four to face Cornell.

Sean DeLaney - Midfield (senior captain), University of North Carolina .  All-American in 2009 and probable 1st round selection in the Major League Lacrosse Draft.  Despite some injuries, Sean leads all UNC midfielders with 34 points this season.  He scored three goals to lead UNC to a first round win over Delaware in the NCAA tournament.

The cost is $235 for fully equipped players and $150 for goalies.  For the "Young Guns" program, the cost is $110. The "Young Guns" will come to the early sessions only (Monday 9 a.m. - noon; and Tuesday and Wednesday 3 - 6 p.m. only) and no equipment is required for these players.
