Lady Warriors sweep St. Thomas Episcopal

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Christian Academy volleyball team improved to 3-1 in District 7-3A play on Thursday with a 3-0 sweep of visiting St. Thomas Episcopal.

Alexa Draudt had seven kills and six digs while Sam Thomas added nine digs in the 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 victory. Rachel Earle contributed with six kills and two blocks. Darcy Sanford (2 blocks), Summer Wheeler (2 digs) and Sydney Vanderpool (7 assists, 3 digs) finished with three kills apiece.

“The girls played together and with a passion,” Lady Warriors volleyball coach Ryan Highly said. “I am so proud of our girls and what we can me when we work together."

Morgan Young had three digs and two kills and Abby Caron added three digs.

The Lady Warriors visit Brazos Christian for a 6 p.m. Tuesday district match.
