CONROE, Texas -- Regina Kellow was recognized for her dedication and service to Conroe ISD students at the December Board of Trustees meeting.

Regina Kellow has served as a bus driver in Conroe ISD for 8 years, and this is her fifth year on her current route. On November 12, 2013, Ms. Kellow responded quickly to a situation to ensure her students’ safety.

While picking up students on her regular route, she came upon a criminal activity. She realized the situation was not safe, so she responded promptly and effectively. Calmly, Ms. Kellow loaded her students and other students that were in the area onto her bus, and with excellent driving skills, she reversed the bus to get as far away from the activity as possible. Thanks to Ms. Kellow, all students were dropped off safely to school that day.

Aric Taylor, Assistant Director of Transportation, introduced this brave bus driver to the Board of Trustees.

Mr. Datren Williams, Board member, presented Ms. Bellow with a plaque then she shook all of the Board member hands.

“You truly are a hero,” stated Board member, John Husbands.
