THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- More than 165 caregivers attended the Spring Caregivers Conference hosted by Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Carepartners® on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Christ Church United Methodist.

The free full day of informative workshops for the caregivers of our community included free respite care for a loved one allowing participants to attend the workshops. “Providing care to a loved one who is ill, physically or mentally challenged, or elderly can be difficult at times,” shared Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “At the conference, caregivers are able to come together to learn more about resources, legal information, and taking care of themselves.”

The conference featured 45 exhibitors and 27 speakers who conducted workshops on topics such as “Elder Law,” “The Unexpected Caregiver,” “Caregiver Depression,” and “Helping Aging Loved Ones.” "The last few years have been such a journey of learning and care for my mother. It is so wonderful to know that Interfaith provides this valuable resource to help caregivers, like myself, through this process of discovery," said conference attendee Connie Baker.
