THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Nothing says “celebrate America” like a good old fashioned Independence Day celebration. But the patriotic fever will still be going on this week. Bob Milner, co-owner of Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands, has decided to put together a red, white and blue event, and his love of dogs has factored into the equation.

“Life is always better with a dog at your side whether you’re on a road trip with the top down, or just kicking back watching television,” said Milner. This bond between canines and their human friends inspired Milner to host a “Pet-riotic Photo Day” at his luxury showroom on Saturday, July 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to bring their dogs to this free event. Patriotic costumes will be available to dress your pet up and have their photo taken with none other than Uncle Sam himself. Refreshments for humans and canines alike will be available.

The event benefits several animal rescue groups that are close to Milner’s heart, including Schnauzer Rescue of Texas, CAMO Rescue, Montgomery County Animal Shelter and Westie & Scottie Rescue of Houston.
