THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Food insecurity is a problem that has plagued Montgomery County. Many of the families, children, and senior citizens who call the community home aren’t able to put three square meals on the table. The Montgomery County Food Bank bridges the gap with their outstanding work each day, and Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands is joining in the fight. Proceeds from the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship were donated to the Montgomery County Food Bank and will go to provide more than 45,000 meals for people in need.

The tournament was hosted at the Carlton Woods- Fazio Course where teams competed to help raise funds. Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands General Manager Joe Drago was on hand to present the proceeds, and all involved enjoyed spending a day on the course for a good cause.

“Supporting our neighbors is in our DNA,” said Drago. “As a part of the community we believe that it is our duty to give back. That’s a value that is ingrained throughout Montgomery County and the work that the Montgomery County Food Bank does is absolutely indispensable.”
