Dreamworks Animation in concert live with Houston Symphony July 21

The Woodlands, Texas – DreamWorks Animation and CineConcerts, along with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, announce DreamWorks Animation in Concert for a one night only engagement Thursday, July 21 at 8 p.m. The concert features favorite moments from DreamWorks Animation’s most beloved films with music performed by the Houston Symphony.

Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Woodforest National Bank and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Tickets are not required for free seating. Due to the popularity of this show, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to ensure entry. To make the evening even sweeter, Fidelity Investments will be giving out free ice cream for the first 2,500 guests starting at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a celebration of more than 20 years of inspired animation and iconic music scores by Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams, John Powell, Alexandre Desplat, Alan Silvestri, Danny Elfman and many others. Relive the moments from Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and more as they are projected in HD onto the big screen as the music is played live by the Houston Symphony. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite DreamWorks character for a one-of-a-kind experience at The Pavilion.

Pre-concert activities begin at 6:30 p.m. and include The Pavilion Partners arts & crafts booth and Instrument Petting Zoo as well as activities by Mercedes Benz of The Woodlands, Visit South Walton, Woodforest National Bank, Renewel by Andersen and Century 21. Be sure to stop by the Tommy Bahama booth to register to win “The Best Seats in the House” for the next performing arts show with a catered dinner by Tommy Bahama or upgrade your concert view with the Fidelity Investments Seat Exchange, all free to enter.

At all performing arts shows, guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the lawn. Keep in mind however, that beverages are not allowed to be brought into The Pavilion. Sitting on the hill? Lawn chairs are also provided free for this event.

Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $10 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
