THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Kayley Wood, a rising senior at The John Cooper School and member of the Dragon volleyball team, is also a member of the Houston Juniors 17 Elite Volleyball Team, based in Houston. The team recently finished as runner ups in the Open Division of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National tournament in Indianapolis, making them the #2 junior team in the nation.

We look forward to seeing Kayley back on our volleyball court in the fall.

“We look forward to seeing Kayley back on our volleyball court in the fall. She has already shown that she can contribute on the court with an impressive run at Junior Nationals, but I am most excited with the early leadership role she has taken here at Cooper,” said Ray Hedden, Head Volleyball Coach for Cooper. “She understands the work it takes to win at that level so I am counting on her and the other seniors to lead those efforts in practice which will carry on to competition!”

Wood has also recently committed to play volleyball in the fall of 2017 for St. John’s University in New York City.
