THE WOODLANDS, Texas— College Park football will look to bounce back after their 30-0 loss to Klein Collins last week. The meeting between the two schools was Cavalier’s Head Coach Lonnie Madison’s first game against his former team. This week the Cavs will host the Klein Forest Golden Eagles Friday Oct 5 at Woodforest Bank Stadium.

While the Cavaliers had trouble scoring against a stubborn Klein Collins defense last week, their offense seems to be finding their identity. The group of seniors led by quarterback Jake Hunnicutt, along with Peyton Sobosle, Tyler Givens, and Aaron Randle are in their second year under Madison’s new system. Add in junior Quajon Charles and their stellar offensive line, and the Cavs have the firepower to put a lot of points on the scoreboard.

Already achieving three wins in a season for the first time since 2014, the Cavaliers could make a push for a playoff spot in the competitive District 15-6A.

Klein Forest will lean on running back Travion Dotson for most of their offensive workload. The senior had four touchdowns in the Golden Eagles first game of the season against MacArthur, but has slowed down as of recent. Head Coach Ajani Sanders looks to turn around the Golden Eagles program who haven’t had a winning season since 2011.
