Lady Highlanders win big on Senior Night
THE WOODLANDS, Texas— The Woodlands High School Girl’s Soccer team honored their senior class last night against Klein Forest in a district matchup. A senior class that has gone 10-0 in district and advanced to the regional semifinals in previous seasons, The Woodlands extends their district winning streak with an 11-3 win over Klein Forest.
Forward Tori Vezza opened the scoring with a beautiful chip around the goalkeeper and into the upper left corner for the game’s first goal. Senior Shianne Knight, a Howard University commit, scored the following goal just a few minutes after Vezza. Knight would score two goals in her last game on The Woodlands hone field.
Everyone seemed to get in on the goal scoring spree Wednesday night as nine different players reached the back of the net. Maddie Krach and Shianne Knight scored two goals each to lead all scorers.
The Woodlands turns around and plays Oak Ridge at Woodforest Bank Stadium Saturday, Feb. 23 for another district matchup. The Highlanders move to 8-2-5 overall with a 5-0-2 district record.
