CONROE, TX - Leon Logothetis was the keynote speaker at the Community Assistance Center Legacy Luncheon Friday, May 10 at The Woodlands Palmer Course encouraging the audience to show empathy to everyone daily by being kind.

Logothetis, bestselling author and host of the Netflix series, The Kindness Diaries, has proof that Kindness will make a significant difference in your life while changing the world through a generous spirit.

“The most-kind thing you can do is to really SEE another human being for who they are without their mask, letting them know they MATTER. It will give you rocket fuel. On the outside they seem fine. On the inside, is where the heart is”, said Leon Logothetis.

CAC is a source of hope for Montgomery County residents experiencing financial crisis with housing, utilities, clothing, food, and other resources through community collaboration relying on the kindness of others to restore the dignity of individuals and families to attain a stable self-sustaining level of responsibility beyond their immediate crisis. Leon emphasized the importance of kindness related to CAC, the community we live in and the world at large.

“How you show up with your hands outspread versus turning your back to people with kindness is a choice that is absolutely FREE! Kindness is helping someone to feel less alone and let them know they Matter!”

Logothetis is a motivational speaker & philanthropist, and past financial broker in London where he felt uninspired and chronically depressed. He gave it all up for a life on the road. This radical life change was inspired by the inspirational movie The Motorcycle Diaries. Logothetis was first inspired to travel from Times Square to the Hollywood Sign without any money, gas, or food for 6 months relying on simple acts of kindness. In his travels unsuspecting generous individuals received gifts from him. A homeless man shared his blankets and clothing to sleep on the street with him. He had nothing but gave the few items he did have to Logothetis. The unsuspecting benevolent man was thanked with an offer to pay for an education for the man so that he may improve his life.

Leon recently returned from filming the second season of The Kindness Diaries traveling through 100 countries from Alaska to Argentina in his vintage yellow VW Beetle (Kindness Two) changing lives through kindness. His journeys through countries without any resources (including money) to show people are genuinely hopeful and kind.

Presented by Entergy Texas and emceed by Nelda Luce Blair of the Blair Law Firm, several community partners were recognized for their benevolence towards CAC including Praxair, Inc, First Baptist Church of Conroe, Cody McGullion of Woodforest Bank for his Distinguished Service, and Legacy Award Honoree – Bill Dougherty.
