Ashley Homestore in the Woodlands Hosts Children’s Book Collection

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Ashley HomeStore in The Woodlands, located at 25415 I-45 North at Sawdust Road, is accepting new or like-new children’s books throughout June when shoppers can donate the gift of reading to local children in need.

Children’s books donated to Ashley HomeStore’s Turn the Page Literacy Drive will be presented to the non-profit organization, Books Between Kids.

Donated books will be distributed to elementary schools with a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students. Once the books arrive to the selected schools, children can select their favorites to take home and keep, thus building their own personal library.

Research shows children growing up in homes without books are less likely to complete a basic education than their peers who do have books available at home.

Ashley HomeStore in The Woodlands is open daily, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m.
