Woodlands Parkway Traffic Alert – Westbound Lane Closures starting Monday

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Woodlands Parkway Traffic Alert – Westbound Lane Closures starting Monday, Aug. 5 for bridge work

The two inside lanes on westbound Woodlands Parkway along the bridge at Lake Woodlands are scheduled to be closed starting Monday, Aug. 5, and lasting the entire week.

The closure is necessary in order to remove and replace two sections on the west side of the bridge. A shift at the joint has created a noticeably uneven transition between the two concrete pavement slabs.

Drivers should expect delays all week when traveling west on Woodlands Parkway toward the bridge as well as when accessing Woodlands Parkway from Grogan’s Mill Road. Motorists are highly encouraged to use alternative routes.

Weather permitting, the work should be completed by the end of the week – prior to most public schools opening for the upcoming school year.
