CDBG-DR Buyout Application Period Extended

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is extending the CDBG-DR Buyout application period through Tuesday March 31, 2020. Montgomery County has been awarded funding through the federally funded Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) for homeowners who were impacted by the 2016 floods and Hurricane Harvey in 2017. The buyout program will purchase properties with the land being maintained in perpetuity as open space to mitigate future disasters. Homeowners interested in a buyout must apply for the program and be found eligible.

In an effort to work with individual homeowners on questions, concerns, or the completion of their application packet there will be an Application Intake Center for individuals to visit and meet with a member of the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (MCOHSEM) staff.
