THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township has received information regarding COVID-19 testing sites now available in both Montgomery and Harris Counties that are convenient for residents of The Woodlands.

“This is a great opportunity for our residents who have a concern if they feel they might have come into contact with COVID-19 or feeling such symptoms,” said Dr. Shelley Sekula-Gibbs, Township Director and Public Health Liaison for the Board. “Testing is really the only form of total peace of mind. We appreciate the counties and Kroger in establishing these testing locations for our residents.”

Mobile Testing Site in Conroe at Tamina Park Community Building
Montgomery County will have a mobile COVID-19 testing site on May 11 and 12, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tamina Park Community Building, 19500 Main Street Rd. Conroe, TX 77385. No pre-registration is required, however you will need to be screened onsite to see if you have fever, chills, cough, body aches, muscle or joint pain, shortness of breath, sore throat, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion or loss of taste or smell.

Mobile Collection Site in The Village of Creekside Park
The Harris County Public Health mobile collection site is located at Lone Star College in Creekside Park, 8747 W New Harmony Trail, 77375, began on Monday, May 11, 2020, through Saturday, May 16, 2020. Everyone is welcome. Bring your driver’s license. Children can be tested as well. Residents in Montgomery County portion of The Woodlands can be tested at this location as well.

Testing is currently available for those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID (including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.) as well as those who are not experiencing symptoms. To participate in testing at the Creekside Park location, residents should visit http://covidcheck.hctx.net to complete a brief self-assessment for informational purposes only.

Once the assessment is complete, the resident will receive a code in order to be tested and will have the option to choose a time window for testing and specify their preferred testing facility.

Per Harris County Public Health, the mobile site has the ability to process up to 150 tests per day. If a resident is unable to access the assessment platform via the Internet, they may call 832-927-7575 to get scheduled for testing. Free testing is available regardless of citizenship status and for those who are uninsured.
